Wow! It's been a while!

I have been so busy with scrapbooking that I haven't been posting my beading projects!

This is the time of year when people start getting graduation notices in the mail.  I received two from girls and one from a boy.  So I decided to give the girls one of my bracelet and earring sets.

I didn't want to just put them in a box, which I could have done, I wanted to make them a little bit jazzed-up!
So with my Cricut, some cardboard, twisty-ties, ink, stamps, a 1/16 hole punch, and a plastic jewelry bag I made a professional looking product that I personalized with my name and my company!

Below I did a picture tutorial of how I made the product cards in case you wanted to make some of your own!

I used my Cricut and Gypsy to cut this shape out.  I thought it would be perfect for mounting the earrings and bracelet.  The shape is from the Storybook cartridge.  This cardboard was just part of some packaging and I thought it would be great for these kinds of projects.  I have been saving a lot of cardboard food boxes for this purpose.  In the craft world this is called "repurposing".

I have a huge set of stamp spots from Stampin Up! That I bought about 10 years ago and they still work!  I use them all the time and they work great for coloring the edges of shapes and giving paper a distressed look.  I just took the stamp spot and applied it to the edges.

I had bought some clear stamps at Michaels for $1 dollar and they are perfect for adding small touches.  The "beauty" stamp is from one of the sets.

I also bought with a 40% coupon, a set of clear stamps that had journaling lines and fun boxes to check like the stamp to the left.

I laid the bracelet and earrings down on the card to see where I wanted them to be mounted.  I took a pen and marked where I wanted the holes punched and punched them.

Here you can see the holes I punched with the 1/16 hole punch.  You may choose to use a larger hole punch like a 1/8 inch.  This would work fine.

Here, I mounted the bracelet with twisty-ties I had in my junk drawer.  I cut the twisty-ties in half with my wire cutters and they were the perfect length.  The earrings hang nicely inside of the bracelet.

Here is the back of the card.   I added some rubber stops to keep the earrings from falling out.

At this point you may choose to add your artist name and contact information.  You can add some information about the jewelry or that it is a one of a kind, etc.

If you are going to be displaying this jewelry in somewhere other than a basket you will need to punch a 1/4 inch hole at the top to hang on a peg.  If you are going to put the card in a plastic sleeve, punch the hole after you put it in the sleeve so they will match up.

Here's another one I made for a gift.  This one is inside a plastic sleeve that I bought in a package of 50 at Wal-Mart.

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions about using the Cricut to make your own jewelry cards and boxes. I visit many blogs which make all sorts of things with the Cricut and it is definitely not just for scrap booking and card making!

Have beadiful day!
